Our Verdict

The Rossignol Alltrack Pro 110s are by far the best looking (or at least most noticeable) boots we tested. But as our fathers used to tell us girls, looks are not everything. These boots are super comfortable and stay warm all day, but don't perform as well as we would like. These boots feel wider than the advertised 100 mm last, so testers with wide forefeet loved them. For ladies with medium to narrow feet, the Alltrack Pros were too large and felt sloppy, causing us to have to really cinch down the buckles to the max. For a lower volume fit and outstanding performance, try our Editors' Choice winning Lange RX 110 - Women's. They also feel softer than their advertised 110 flex, which makes them easy to drive for intermediate to advanced skiers.

The Alltrack Pros are a high-end, quality ski boot. Their appearance will catch your eye, but their comfort will keep you wearing them all day. These are best suited for a skier with a wide forefoot.

Comfort and Fit

The Alltrack Pros feel like cushy slippers when you first put them on. Although we balked at the cheesy white faux-fur when we took them out of the box, after slipping them on, there was no denying how comfortable and easy to put on they are. Some of our testers comments were "feels like heaven on my toes" and "I could wear these to the bar…are these really ski boots?" Needless to say, they are comfortable.The Head Dream 100's are also a very comfortable, cushy boot. As for fit, we would recommend these boots for a skier with wider feet, they felt much wider than their advertised 100 mm last, closer to the Dalbello Kyra 95 ID's 102 last. A tester with a 100 mm forefoot felt like her feet were swimming. However, most testers noted that their heels stayed put and they did not notice any heel lift.

Downhill Ski Performance

Because of the large volume of the Alltrack Pros, some testers found that the boots did not perform as well as they would have liked. We had to really cinch down the buckles to make the boot feel snug enough around the ankle and forefoot to keep the foot in place, but once we did these boots were relatively responsive. The Atomic Hawx Ultra 110's have incredible heel hold. Rossignol intended these boots for an advanced skier, and they have a relatively upright stance - so they require you to stay on top of them or you will get thrown in the backseat. We found them soft for a 110 flex, and think these could be good for an intermediate skier who's ready for a more aggressive boot. The Tecnica Mach 1 is rated at a 105 flex, but are much stiffer than the AllTrack's

Features

One of the best features of this boot is its flashy looks. We love the bright colors and patterned buckles and think they really stand out on the ski hill. The Alltracks come with a walk mode, but we did not feel much of a difference between walk and ski. Other features include micro-adjustable buckles and heat moldable liners. The most feature heavy boot we tested was the Head Dream, although we like the streamlined lack of features on the Lange RX 110 LV - Women's just as much.

Durability

Good looks don't last forever, and we're afraid this may be the case with these ski boots. While testing, we noticed that the white faux-fur lining started to look matted and dingy, and some of the buckles are getting chipped and worn. We prefer boots with dark liner color like the Salomon XPro or the Lange RX 110's. Otherwise, we found them to be relatively durable, taking home a 6 out of 10.

Warmth

The roomy Alltrack Pros are some of the warmest boots. They come with cushy Thinsulate brand insulation and of course, cozy fur lining. We think that the extra room in the toe-box makes these especially warm, allowing toes to wiggle and keeping the blood circulating. They are right up there in the warmth department with the Nordica Speedmachine 105's.

These boots would be a great choice for skiers with a wide forefoot (wider than 100 mm), who are progressing from intermediate to advanced,

These have been on the market for several years now without any technology updates so we're surprised at their high price tag. They feature quality materials and construction, and other than the appearance of the boot potentially degrading, they could be a good investment for someone who wants to push their skiing to the next level. If you're on a budget, perhaps you might want to consider the Dalbello Kyra 95 ID - Women's, our Best Buy winners.

Conclusion

The flashy looking Alltrack ski boots make a great package: decent performance and responsiveness, warmth, and comfort. These could be a good boot for someone with a wide forefoot who is an intermediate to advanced skier and who wants a comfortable all day boot for the resort — and maybe for the bars as well.
